It is possible to send us tissue for a rating/evaluation of neurosurgical transmittals including CNS tumors.

Clinical findings are an important basis for the neuropathological diagnosis of nerve biopsies. Therefore, please include a short medical report with each biopsy.

It is absolutely necessary to follow standardized procedures for dermal biopsy collection and fixation when wishing to analyze small sensory dermal nerves and to evaluate nerve fiber density (e.g. with suspicion of small fiber neuropathy). Local anesthesia should not be undertaken with Chloraethyl spray.
